Lemon Basil Gin and Tonic Cocktail

Print

I’m not gonna lie. I need a gin and tonic, stat! It’s been pretty hot this summer in Minneapolis. 90+ degrees mixed with 80+ percent humidity has made for some sweltering sticky days. Luckily with all the heat and rain my gardens are booming.

Time to make a refreshing heral cocktail from the garden. It combines muddled lemon basil, sugar, natural tonic syrup (made from real quinine), gin and sparkling water.  Assembled in one glass this quick and easy drink will keep you cool on those long hot days of summer.
