Grapefruit Infused Gin Recipe

— By Tammy Kimbler

Ingredients:

2 medium pink or red grapefruits
1 750 ml bottle gin (decent quality but don’t go crazy)

Instructions:

Wash the grapefruits. With a vegetable peeler, remove the zest from both grapefruit, avoiding the white pith.  Juice the grapefruits and strain out the seeds. In a large jar, add the zest, juice and whole bottle of gin.  Shake to distribute, then store in a cool, dark place for 1 month.

After 1 month, strain out the zest and decant into a serving bottle.  Enjoy in your favorite gin drink.  I particularly like it in a gin and tonic, but it also goes well with a little simple syrup and soda water.
